Un tipo de agua que en el caso de que haya una grieta o pequeña fisura en el pavimento por un mal uso o aplicación del concreto estampado, al entrar en contacto provocaría desperfectos en la capa de resina.

Un efecto que también puede ser causado por los ciclos de mojado-seco y viceversa. Cuando el agua se evapora, los cristales que se forman pueden llegar a romper los enlaces del pavimento y levantar el concreto. Es muy importante controlar en todo momento los niveles de sal, para que el pH no sea demasiado ácido.

Fases de la aplicación del concreto estampado para albercas

The application is quite simple and easy to execute. It is no more complicated than doing it on another type of pavement. Next, we explain the different steps and phases to implement the imprinted concrete around the pool.

1. Acondicionar y tratar el área alrededor de la alberca

Before pouring the concrete, it is important to prepare the ground. The surface has to be homogeneous so that no unevenness or cracks are generated in the pavement. In the case of the area around the pool, the perimeter must be leveled in such a way that it is slightly higher than the pool itself.

2. Colocar la malla y realizar juntas de dilatación

The mesh is very important to give breadth and consistency to the imprinted concrete pool. The ideal is to try to make it about 2 cm from the pavement. Once the imprinted concrete system is finished, the expansion joints would be executed to obtain a higher quality decorative finish. Since the joints what they do is prevent the pavement from cracking.

3. Apply, spread and level the imprinted concrete for pool

When the surface is perfectly conditioned, it is time to pour and spread the concrete around the pool. If the height of the pour exceeds 1.20 meters, we recommend using gutters. Once distributed, level and smooth the concrete to flatten the surface.

One of the most important phases of applying imprinted concrete for a pool: giving it personality with the use of a color hardener. 5. Usar agente desmoldante

After coloring the concrete, a release agent must be added, which can be in powder or liquid form. The purpose of this product is to prevent the concrete from entering the molds that give the pavement its final texture and design.

6. Stamp the imprinted molds around the pool

Subsequently, the imprinted molds are stamped in the area around the pool. Molds that can have the most varied shapes: tiles, stone, wood, etc. Let the imprinted concrete for the pool finish setting and hardening. When it is completely dry, remove the molds.

Use imprinted molds with greater slip resistance

A diferencia de otros materiales, el concreto estampado confiere por sí mismo un carácter antideslizante. Principalmente gracias a la textura y relieve de los propios moldes impresos. Un beneficio que valida, como no, su extendido uso en la zona de la alberca. No obstante, hay algunos moldes impresos que disfrutan de un mayor grado de antideslizamiento y son éstos los que los expertos recomiendan emplear a ser posible. Todo depende del dibujo que se quiera realizar y del presupuesto de cada cual.

Opt for light colors for the imprinted concrete in the pool

Se ha comprobado que los colores claros disimulan mejor las manchas causadas por los depósitos de agua de la piscina. Por lo tanto, se debe evitar en la medida de lo posible utilizar tonos oscuros.

Avoid leaving a thick layer of resin

En la medida que sea posible, hay que evitar aplicar una capa de resina gruesa. El exceso es uno de los problemas más recurrentes en la aplicación del concreto estampado en la piscina. Al crear un revestimiento continuo, el concreto estampado para piscina evita el crecimiento de maleza así como la acumulación de suciedad en las juntas. Aun así, los profesionales recomiendan limpiar el pavimento de vez en cuando de manera superficial con agua y detergente suave.

Renovar la resina del concreto estampado alrededor de la piscina cada 2-3 años

De igual forma, es conveniente restaurar la resina en un periodo de 2-3 años aproximadamente. ¿Por qué? Porque con el paso del tiempo el concreto estampado va perdiendo brillo y color por el desgaste de la resina. Ya que no hay que olvidar que es un pavimento expuesto constantemente a las inclemencias meteorológicas.

Uno de los consejos más importantes. Después de cada chapuzón en la alberca, es recomendable lavar la superficie con una manguera. De esta manera se previenen posibles acumulaciones de agua salada sobre el revestimiento de concreto.
