What it is

Industtrial is our exclusive product line of epoxy micro-concrete. Water-based and two-component composition, has been designed to meet the practical and functional needs of interior spaces with high wear and exposed to high foot traffic. More demanding spaces such as garages, warehouses and offices.

A decorative continuous coating especially for interior walls and floors. In this product we have combined the excellent performance of our micro-concretes with the extra hardness provided by epoxy resins.

The result is a continuous coating of very high results, especially for continuous interior pavements and floors. An epoxy micro-concrete with excellent workability and unbeatable resistance to abrasion and pedestrian traffic.

In addition, our water-based epoxy micro-concrete Industtrial stands out for its very natural mineral finish and for its superior impermeability compared to conventional micro-concrete systems.

Industtrial is available in 16 colours and 4 granulometries: Industtrial XL, Industtrial Base, Industtrial Medio and Industtrial Liso.

Due to the finishes offered by this epoxy micro-concrete, we recommend using Industtrial XL and Industtrial Medio for floors and Industtrial Base and Industtrial Liso for walls. However, all four granulometries are suitable for both floors and interior walls.

Why choosing Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete?

In addition to the resistance, hardness and functionality offered by Industtrial, it is an epoxy micro-concrete that provides the applicator with significant benefits compared to other similar products on the market.

Industtrial stands out for its high covering power. A material that can coat the substrate up to 3 and 4 times more and better than its counterparts.
It is also an epoxy micro-concrete with outstanding workability. It is a product that can be reworked and, furthermore, in the event of making a mistake in the application, it is possible to correct it instantly. It is therefore not necessary to re-coat the entire substrate, only the affected area.
Industtrial allows the most diverse and special designs to be created. Different pigments can be combined for the different layers, creating an even more attractive finish.
Another of the main advantages of this epoxy micro-concrete over the competition is that if imperfections are left on the substrate when sanded, they do not bleach. This is a problem that many products do have.
In the case of using Industtrial on walls, the product does not sag. Excellent adhesion without the need to add additives, as is the case with other products.
Its versatility also extends to the way it is pigmented. Component A can be colored individually or both components can be mixed and the resulting compund colored. As desired by the applicator.

Although Industtrial XL is intended for interior epoxy floor and wall coverings, it can also be used on walls if a specific finish is required.

Industtrial Medio is our epoxy micro-concrete for finishing epoxy floors and paving in interior spaces. To obtain this decorative continuous flooring, it is necessary to apply two coats of Industtrial XL beforehand. How to apply Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete on indoor walls and floors

Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete has a high adhesion to mineral substrates, even on direct tile. It is a decorative continuous coating highly recommended for decorating interior walls and floors, especially in areas with high wear such as garages, industrial buildings, gallery floors, stores, waiting rooms, corridors or offices.

In general, Industtrial is an epoxy micro-concrete ideal for those continuous pavements exposed to high pedestrian traffic.

Below, we explain the step-by-step application of Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete on interior floors and walls.

Floors · Step 1. Cleaning and preparation of the substrate
Ensure that the substrate is dry, clean, free of dust, grease or dirt. In case the floor or interior flooring is varnished or painted, remove the previous coating.

Floors · Step 2. Priming
On mineral or cementitious surfaces, it is highly recommended to use the PRIMAPOX® or PRIMACEM® family. If there is moisture, use PRIMAPOX® 100 BARRIER. On tiled surfaces or other coverings with joints, fill the joints with PRIMACEM® JOINT.

Pigment component A of INDUSTTRIAL XL epoxy micro-concrete with the ARCOCEM® PLUS color toner chosen from the INDUSTRIAL color chart.

Floors · Step 4. Mix component A and component B of INDUSTRIAL XL
Once component A of INDUSTTRIAL XL epoxy micro-concrete has been pigmented, add component B and mix (see exact proportions in the technical data sheet). If Comp.A is not pigmented, the A+B mixture can be pigmented.

Floors · Step 5. Apply two coats of Industtrial XL epoxy micro-concrete
Apply with a trowel two coats of INDUSTTRIAL XL epoxy micro-concrete preparation. Allow to dry between 8 and 12 hours between coats. The time depends on the temperature and humidity (see technical data sheet). Sand after each coat with 40 grit sandpaper.

Floors · Step 6. Apply two layers of Industtrial Medio epoxy micro-concrete
*Repeat steps 3 and 4 for INDUSTTRIAL MEDIO. To finish decorating the interior floor, apply two layers of INDUSTTRIAL MEDIO epoxy micro-concrete finish, sanding each one with 80-grit sandpaper. Allow at least 24–48 hours of drying before proceeding to the sealing stage.

Floors · Step 7. Sealing
Wait at least 24 to 48 hours before protecting the interior epoxy wall. Any of our Topsealer® varnishes can be applied. We recommend two coats of TOPSEALER® WT DRAGON (leaving 18-36h between coats).

After pigmenting component A of INDUSTTRIAL BASE epoxy micro-concrete, add component B and mix the two components (see proportions in the technical data sheet). The mixture A+B can also be pigmented.

Walls · Step 5. Two coats of Industtrial Base epoxy micro-concrete
For interior epoxy walls, apply two coats of INDUSTRIAL BASE epoxy micro-concrete with a trowel. Allow to dry approximately 8 to 12 hours between coats. The exact time will vary depending on the degree of temperature and humidity (see technical data sheet). Sand with 40 grit sandpaper after each coat.

Walls · Step 6. Two layers of Industtrial Liso epoxy micro-concrete
*Repeat steps 3 and 4 for INDUSTTRIAL LISO. To finish the decoration of the interior wall, apply a coat of epoxy micro-concrete finishing INDUSTTRIAL LISO, sanding each one with 220-grit sandpaper. Respect the same drying time between coats.

Walls · Step 7. Sealing
Wait at least 24 to 48 hours before protecting the interior epoxy wall. Any of our Topsealer® varnishes can be applied. We recommend two coats of TOPSEALER® WT DRAGON (leaving 18-36h between coats).

Can Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete be used outdoors?

We do not recommend using Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete outdoors. This is because the epoxy resin may yellow when exposed to the sun's rays.

Therefore, we recommend using Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete as a decorative and functional finish on floors and walls in interior spaces.

Is it necessary to use mesh in the application of Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete?

Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete is formulated so that it is not necessary to use mesh, as it is a product that is applied in very thin layers that favour optimum drying. If mesh were used, the layers of product would be much thicker and there would be a risk of cracking.

What happens if the Primapox®family is not applied as a primer?

As with other micro-concrete systems, it is essential to prepare the substrate properly to ensure a good decorative coating. In this sense, the substrate must be well consolidated, have a good planimetry and be free of damp (if this is not the case, it will be necessary to remedy it).

In the case of Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete, the Primapox®or Primacem family can be used as a primer. The choice of one or the other will depend on the substrate on which Industtrial is to be applied.

Can Primacem ABS or Primacem Plus be used as a primer for Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete?

Yes, Primacem ABS (absorbent surfaces) or Primacem Plus (non-absorbent surfaces) can be used without any problem as a primer for Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete. However, to ensure high performance, we recommend using Primapox®for a complete epoxy system.

Is it necessary to seal the Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete?

Although our Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete guarantees superior resistance to other systems, including greater impermeability to running water, it is necessary to seal it. With this added protection, Industtrial's durability increases exponentially.

Which varnishes are the most recommended for sealing Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete?

Depending on the finish that each professional is looking for, as well as the performance required by the use to which it is going to be applied, Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete can be sealed with different varnishes. Mainly with our water-based varnishes Topsealer® WT Dragon and Topsealer® WT One Coat, as shown in the step-by-step application of the product.

However, to protect Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete, you can also use our solvent-based Topsealer® DSV varnish or our 100% solids Coverpox (epoxy) or Topsealer® Pro + (cold polyurea) varnishes.

In the case of using Topsealer® WT Dragon or Topsealer WT One Coat to seal Industtrial, why is Presealer not applied?

Industtiral epoxy micro-concrete is composed of aggregates, without the need for cement, as is the case with our ready to use micro-concrete Efectto Quartz. For this reason, the application of the Presealer can be avoided and the step-by-step time is reduced.

In how many colours is Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete available?

We have developed a total of 16 colours for Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete, which are the samples shown above. However, if a customer would like to pigment the product with another colour, they can easily do so using our ARCOCEM BASIC.

Can Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete be used on walls and ceilings?

Whenever we talk about interior spaces, Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete can be used on walls and ceilings. Although it is true that due to its resistance to wear and tear and traffic above all, it is more suitable for use on floors.

Can Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete be applied on façades?

No. Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete cannot be applied on façades. As we have already explained, it is not recommended to use this product outdoors due to the real possibility of yellowing of the epoxy resin.

For which applications is Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete most suitable?

Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete fits perfectly in interior areas exposed to high traffic such as offices, shopping centres, warehouses, etc. Spaces that require more industrial resistance.

Is it possible to achieve a water effect with Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete?

Beyond its hardness and resistance, Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete is characterised by its versatility. So yes, if the applicator wishes to achieve a water effect, it can be achieved.

How to apply Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete on tiles?

To apply our Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete on tiles, the first thing to do is to fill the joints with Primacem® Joint. A filler and smoothing putty which purpose is to prevent the tracing from being noticed after coating the surface with micro-concrete.

The substrate should then be primed with two coats of our Primacem® Plus primer for non-absorbent surfaces. Primapox® Barrier epoxy primer could also be used, but we only recommend it when moisture may damage the substrate.

How is Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete pigmented?

The A component of Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete is the only one that is pigmented. Depending on the colour chosen, the proportions of the mixtures will be different. Component A can be pigmented in advance and left in stock until the product is applied. In this way, distributors have the possibility to sell the pigmented product directly. Any pigment that may remain in the bottle can be collected with a little water.

In addition, the versatility of Industtrial allows you to play with the different colours available to achieve a more natural finish if possible. In other words, the base layer can be pigmented with one colour and the top layer with a different one to create a very attractive visual contrast. As for the guarantee of the material, it is one year.

Can water or resin be added to Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete to make it more fluid?

Once component A has been mixed with component B, water cannot be added as it repels water. In the case of wanting to add water, it will have to be done in component A before mixing it with component B.

Industtrial is an epoxy micro-concrete that is designed with a texture suitable for its application, so adding water is not necessary. It is important to note that it is not a product compatible with the addition of resins.

Can Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete be used on underfloor heating systems?

Yes, Industtrial epoxy micro-concrete is suitable for application over underfloor heating systems. A start-up protocol must be followed rigorously in order to avoid cracking. This procedure can only be carried out by an experienced professional.
