Mettal Activator is a rust activator that reacts when it comes into contact with metallic particles creating all kinds of high decoration metallic rust finishes. A high-performance rust activator that has been designed to accelerate the process of oxidation of our Classic Mettal metallic paint and our Pure Mettal metallic coating.
Metallic coatings and coverings Pure Mettal, that are available in a wide range of shades, can be applied on non-walkable surfaces both indoors and outdoors. They are perfect for completely renovating facades, walls, pillars, ceilings, walls or furniture such as, for example, tables. The range of materials that can be coated with Pure Mettal it's very broad, like for example microcement, ceramics, plasterboard or concrete, among many others.
We must ensure that it is well bonded, dry and if necessary sanded. Vacuum to leave the support clean.
Apply a coat of primer Primacem ABS (absorbent support) or Primacem PLUS (non-absorbent support). Allow to dry for about 1 hour.
Mix component A and component B of the finish Pure Mettal chosen (Bronze, Aluminium, Iridium, Brass o Copper). Apply two coats, allowing to dry between 2 and 4 hours between layers. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
In the case of wanting a metallic finish, once the surface is decorated and polished, apply two coats of the sealer Topsealer WT One Coat to protect the support (allowing 24 hours to dry between applications). Allow to dry for 24 hours.
In the case of preferring a rusted finish, once the surface is decorated and polished, Mettal Activator to accelerate oxidation and sand. Then apply two coats of Presealer (leaving 4 hours in between) and sanding. Finally, protect the surface with two coats of the sealer. Topsealer WT One Coat (24 hours between coats). Allow to dry for 24 hours.
