Aplicación de concreto estampado en pisos exteriores

This is how the material we usually see at the entrances of certain residential areas, large commercial surfaces or parks, among others, is applied.

1 - Preparación del piso

Before pouring the mortar, it is essential to prepare the surface. What does this mean? Well, the area on which it is going to be applied must be cleaned of leaves or stones that may be a problem for the future durability of the applied pavement.

In this aspect, of preparation, you have to make sure that the ground is level and does not present holes or other irregularities. You will also have to delimit the area to apply with a perimeter joint formed by a formwork box.

2 - Vertido del concreto

Now, with the support fully prepared for the mortar pouring, we proceed to do it. Thus, we will have to pour the concrete evenly. We must make sure that the layer is leveled. Then, some polypropylene fibers are added to increase the subsequent resistance of the mortar. Once these are added, a steel mesh must be used on the perimeters.

3 - Nivelación y reglado

To do this, to level and rule, we will use a roller so that the concrete is compacted and bleeds. To smooth it, use a trowel. For the process to be a complete success, during the ruling there should be no mechanical vibration.

4 - Fratasado del concreto

While the mortar is fresh, it is necessary to trowel it to ensure a resistant, smooth, and compact surface. It is important to perform this step to prevent blisters from appearing later, in situations of extreme humidity.

5 - Colorear concreto

This process can be done in two different ways: either by sprinkling the pigments or mixing them with the concrete mass. In both cases, you have to make sure to throw the exact amount of material so that the mix is perfect.

6 - Aplicar el desmoldante

Una vez fraguado, para garantizar las mejores condiciones del futuro suelo conformado por concreto estampado, aplicaremos el desmoldante. Recomendamos aplicar los desmoldantes en polvo que ayudarán a la retirada exitosa de los moldes con los que se va a estampar el mortero en cuestión. En este paso hay que ser meticuloso con las cantidades de desmoldantes.

7 - Imprimar el molde de concreto estampado en el suelo

Una vez que se han seleccionado los patrones de los moldes que se quieren usar, los aplicamos en el área con el concreto o mortero aún fresco. En Topciment, contamos con aproximadamente 150 modelos diferentes con diseños que van desde los que reproducen elementos naturales como madera o piedra, hasta otros que tienen aspecto de materiales de construcción, como es el caso de los ladrillos. Estos moldes son parte de nuestra gama IMACEM. Como consejo, recomendamos que los moldes se presionen firmemente y se tenga cuidado de que haya coherencia entre las piezas para que el diseño sea continuo.

8 - Remove the release agent

Si en este punto no se han realizado las juntas de dilatación, se deben hacer los cortes. En este caso, retirar el desmoldante del pavimento al menos 48 horas después.

9 - Limpiar el pavimento

Es el momento de eliminar cualquier tipo de residuo que pueda quedar. Para lo cual dejaremos pasar 72 horas para después enjuagar con agua y eliminar los restos. Se puede utilizar una hidrolavadora.

10 - Aplicación de barniz protector

Para que el concreto estampado pueda resistir cualquier condición que se de en un espacio que se encuentra al exterior, este debe ser barnizado. En este paso habrá que elegir el tipo de barniz, dependiendo del acabado que se quiera lograr, ya sea más brillo más mate.

El proceso de aplicación de concreto estampado en superficies, muros o fachadas exteriores es muy similar al que se sigue para realizar los pisos. Esta está en el segundo paso y es la siguiente:

- Enjarre la pared y coloque el mortero
