Available in 7 colors, they produce through a chemical reaction a coloration on the support to be treated, automatically generating colored mineral nanocrystals. Materials that are stable to light, which facilitates the use of our reagents in the same way outdoors as indoors.

Chemical dyes that are applicable in all types of shapes and that are perfect for transforming and oxidizing old concrete surfaces. Coatings of polished concrete, precast concrete and imprinted concrete, but also of microcement.

The reagents for oxidizing Oxicem® Concrete surfaces are presented in containers of 1.5 and 25 liters.

How to apply Oxicem® Concrete to oxidize concrete surfaces

Before applying the reagents to oxidize Oxicem® Concrete surfaces, the support to be coated must be prepared. A substrate that must be clean and dry. If it were varnished or painted, it will be necessary to remove the coating by sanding or stripping.

1. Proteger el perímetro y las áreas donde no se vayan a aplicar los tintes químicos Oxicem® Concrete. Sobre todo si son zonas metálicas, de madera, lacadas o de cristal.

2. Aplicar una mano del color deseado de Oxicem® Concrete para oxidar superficies de concreto. Se puede aplicar el producto con brocha, rodillo o por pulverización.

3. Agregar una segunda capa, si así se desea, para terminar de decorar. En este caso, habrá que respetar un tiempo de secado de entre 8 y 12 horas entre capas.

4. Después de cada mano de Oxicem® Concrete para oxidar superficies de concreto, será fundamental limpiar con agua limpia y neutralizar con bicarbonato o amoníaco hasta que se eliminen los residuos.

5. Recomendamos proteger el nuevo revestimiento decorativo con un hidrófugo, ya que garantiza una protección mayor frente al agua y el posterior ensuciamiento. Se puede sellar también con cualquiera de los barnices de nuestras familias TOPSEALER®,SEALCEM® WT o SEALCEM® DSV.

Precauciones especiales para oxidar superficies de concreto con Oxicem® Concrete

Es un producto corrosivo para la piel y los ojos, por lo que la exposición prolongada puede provocar sequedad, agrietamiento o cambios de color de la piel.

Properties and uses Oxicem® Concrete to oxidize concrete surfaces

Una de las principales particularidades de estos reactivos para oxidar superficies de concreto es que su coloración es desigual y semicubriente. Esto se traduce en que el acabado final respeta las texturas del soporte, manteniendo así el aspecto natural del mismo.

Oxicem® Concrete colors to oxidize concrete surfaces

Amarillo, Bronce, Negro, Oliva, Pardo, Turquesa y Verde Océano son los siete colores disponibles dentro de la familia Oxicem® Concrete. Colores que ofrecen acabados muy distintos según la tonalidad del recubrimiento de concreto que se quiera oxidar, así como de su sellado.

En este sentido, si se van a oxidar superficies de concreto de tonalidades claras, el revestimiento final tendrá una apariencia bien distinta a uno que sea más oscuro aunque el color de Oxicem® Concrete sea el mismo. De igual modo, la textura final cambia por completo tras el uso del sellador Topsealer ® WT One Coat.

The displayed colors of Oxicem Concrete® to achieve a rust effect on concrete are digital simulations. It is possible that the results of the samples do not match 100% when applying our chemical dyes on a surface. Therefore, we advise consulting the catalogs of real samples beforehand.

Rust effect on concrete with Oxicem® Concrete on light coatings

Next, we show the different oxidation effects on concrete that can be achieved if Oxicem® Concrete is used in light-colored coatings. The image on the left is of the unsealed coating, the one on the right is the texture resulting from protecting the coating with our water-based polyurethane varnish Topsealer ® WT One Coat.

Rust effect on concrete with Oxicem® Concrete on dark coatings

As can be seen at first glance, the finishes of Oxicem® Concrete change considerably when applying the product on dark coatings. In the samples on the left, we appreciate the rust effect on concrete before sealing. In those on the right, the final finish after the use of Topsealer ® WT One Coat varnish.
