Stonecem® is our exclusive line of imprinted mortars for interior and exterior. High-performance decorative mortars designed for the application of imprinted concrete and vertical imprinted concrete.

Products that provide textured finishes in the renovation not only of imprinted concrete, but also on other materials such as natural stone and concrete. Imprinted mortars that guarantee high quality finishes, durability and easy maintenance.

They present a matte finish and a non-slip texture on the pavements and facades where they are used as a decorative element. Thanks to their high resistances and hardness, they are ideal imprinted mortars for sidewalks, bike and pedestrian lanes, parking lots, sports areas, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, common areas such as swimming pools, etc.

Color hardeners that cannot be applied on surfaces previously painted with other systems such as plastic paints, epoxies, polyurethanes or varnishes. In the case of wanting to do so, it would be necessary to remove the previous coating completely.

Stonecem® Floor

Imprinted mortar Stonecem® Floor

Stonecem® Floor is an imprinted mortar based on selected aggregates, portland cement and high-performance additives. A very versatile product as it presents a dual function of use. On one hand, it forms a decorative mortar for renewing imprinted concrete coatings. On the other hand, it can play the role of hardener or wearing layer in newly created imprinted pavements.

A highly breathable, fireproof pigmented mortar that provides an anti-slip finish to the floor or wall. Thanks to its resistance to weather and UV radiation, it is suitable for outdoor use. It is indicated for areas of intense traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian. It can also be applied on bike and pedestrian lanes, terraces, sports areas, parking lots, hospitals or parks, among many other places.

An imprinted mortar with a mineral finish that is applied directly onto fresh concrete and is available in up to 24 colors. It also enjoys excellent resistance to abrasion and is moldable in more than 100 different finishes and textures thanks to our IMACEM® molds.

Performance

The approximate performance of the Stonecem® Floor imprinted mortar for decoration is between 4 - 6 Kg/m².

Presentation

The imprinted mortar Stonecem® Floor comes in 25 Kg containers.

How to apply the Stonecem® Floor imprinted mortar

1. Sprinkle the Stonecem® Floor imprinted mortar (from 4 Kg/m² for dark colors up to 6 Kg/m² for light colors), once the exudation water has completely evaporated from the concrete.

2. Apply 2/3 of the specified amount of the product and introduce it using a trowel on the concrete floor or wall.

3. Pour the rest of the imprinted mortar and trowel again until the desired finish is achieved.

4. Smooth the surface with a steel trowel until there are no porosities. Then, go over it with an edging trowel so that no chipping appears.

5. When the imprinted mortar has set, check that the surface has a firm but not hard appearance and that, above all, it is free of water.

6. Next, apply our release agent for imprinted concrete Desmocem® Powder or Desmocem® Liquid (see proportions in technical sheet). We advise using the first one, except on inclined surfaces or indoor areas.

7. When the release agent is applied, stamp the imprinted pavement or vertical imprinted concrete with the IMACEM® molds. In the case of using liquid release agent, the molds must be completely clean and previously impregnated.

8. The placement of the mold for imprinted concrete must be consecutive and follow the continuity of the pieces. Then, step on it.

9. At least 48 hours later, remove the chosen release agent for imprinted concrete and clean the surface as appropriate (see technical sheet).

10. Once the surface is completely dry, we will protect the surface with two coats of one of our varnishes for imprinted concrete Sealcem®. Allow to dry and harden for 3 days, before use.

Special precautions of the Stonecem® imprinted mortar Floor

Powdered imprinted mortar. Close the lid quickly after each use.

If there is contact with the eyes, clean with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

Do not use solvents or thinners. Good ventilation must be ensured.

For the application of the imprinted mortar Stonecem® Floor, there are a series of materials that must be available: FFP2 or FFP3 dust mask, protective glasses, and rubber gloves.

Where to use the Stonecem® Floor imprinted mortar

Stonecem® Floor is an imprinted mortar primarily designed as a hardener or wearing layer for imprinted pavements. A product that already comes pigmented and is used in the traditional system of pigmentation of stamped concrete. It not only gives color to the new coating, but it significantly increases its durability while providing it with a valuable non-slip finish.

In this regard, among the most recommended uses of this product are:
